This week’s study is a powerful picture of Yeshua. The five types of Korban (offerings) listed below are to bring us into HIS presence. We will always have a struggle with the flesh, even as Shaul (Paul) wrote in Romans 5; we continue to “do what we don’t want to do, and we don’t do what we should do.” Why? Our flesh is still alive and it is warring with our Yeshua Spirit in us. Thank Yahweh we have HIS Love, passion and the Korban of HIS flesh life, Yeshua.
Vayak’hel
We are commanded forever and ever to have the oil in the menorah. Don't worry—in His Presence He will light the Fire. It is the same today. (Exodus 27:20-21; Leviticus 24:3)
P’Kudei
This concept of a spiritual accounting plays an important role in this week's Torah portion, P’kudei. A major theme in the Parasha is how Moses gives an accounting of the materials used to build the Tabernacle. The close of Exodus gives us the full picture of Yahweh’s “Redemption.” Nachmanides (Ramban) mentions that “Redemption” should be the name of the book of Exodus. As man lost the right to be in YHVH’s presence at the Garden, it is now restored. Salvation, forgiveness, guidelines on how to live, how to worship, and when to worship are the major themes we’ll see in this week’s study, including HIS presence in HIS sanctuary—us. The Ark of the Testimony brings us into HIS witness.
Waiting on God... Still Waiting... Have you ever waited, and waited, and waited, wondering if He was still there, listening, caring? God's timing is perfect, but what do we do when His plan doesn't fit with our timing? Do we look for guidance elsewhere? Do we give up on Him? Consequences will follow each choice. He sets before us Life and Death, Blessings and Curses. What will we choose?
All of us fear judgment. No one likes to go to traffic court for a violation. Certainly we don't crave hearing our bosses' evaluation of our performance. And when we ponder the fact that God looks down upon us and judges us, it is quite a scary thought.
Ha Mishkan: The Tabernacle. This is where God dwells, and loves it, as in Psalms 26:8. In the beginning of Parasha Terumah (Exodus 25:1-7), God tells Moshe (Moses) to collect donations from all Israel for the building materials of the Tabernacle. He mentions the specific materials that they should bring such as gold, silver, copper, turquoise, & wool. Why must they bring specific materials?
Simchat Torah - Simchat Torah -The Joy of God’s Teaching and Instructions
The majesty of God; the blessings of the twelve tribes; the Excellency of Israel. Moses from mount Nebo views the land; he dies there; his burial; his age; thirty days’ mourning for him, Joshua succeeds him; the praise of Moses.
Revelation 21:3 - And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of Elohim is with(in) men: and he will dwell (Sukkot) with them. And they shall be his people: and God himself with them shall be their God. (DRB)
1 Corinthians 3:16 - Don’t you know that you that you are the temple of the Living God and that the Spirit of Yahweh dwells in you?
If you Read all these Scriptures, even the ones in the Brit, it will enlighten you and put a fire in and put a fire in you all week long!
Is Yahweh dwelling in YOU?
Ever wondered why Yahweh, Elohim seemed to take a special delight in the sound of a shofar? The shofar is a ram's horn, according to Strong's Dictionary #H7782, it is translated as "trumpet" or “trumpets” 68 out of 72 times in the Old Testament. What does the sounding of the shofar mean for us - the people called to be Torah observant?
…Which is what you are already singing, (Revelation 15:3) and the song of the Lamb. This Rock Yeshua is the Foundation (Ephesians 2:20) and this is the foundation or the Rock to build upon, & this what we are learning in Torah, There is no ‘Salvation’ in any other rock or job or lifestyle; so set your priorities in HIM. Notice in Revelation 21there are 12 foundations, Jewels, (Rocks) which are the attributes of Yeshua. All 12 of them are in Matthew 5-7, can you find them?? Shalom: You can find and give Spirit and Life in the Living Rock, 1st Corinthians 10:4. You have the Living water and the Bread of Life!
The Covenant was given to Israel, not a church or synagogue, but HIS people-Israel and also those that are not with them on that Day. Who could this be? Covenant is the Exchange of Lifestyles, Yahweh’s Lifestyle. Remember Baal Peor? (Numbers 25:3) This was the Exchange of Lifestyles of the World.
