Week #27 - Feast Day Preparation

Exodus 12:12-13 (Passover) For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments—I am the LORD. The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you [n]live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you [o]to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Passover is NOT about salvation. It is the remembrance of the salvation already granted to us.

Exodus 12:15-16 (Feast of Unleavened Bread) Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, but on the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses; for whoever eats anything leavened from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel. On the first day you shall have a holy assembly, and another holy assembly on the seventh day; no work at all shall be done on them, except what must be eaten by every person, that alone may be prepared by you

  • This all a picture of how we should approach God

  • We are granted merciful salvation at Passover

  • We spend 7 days (completion) to remove and live without yeast (sin) , as a remembrance of Yeshua’s work.

  • Actual bags of yeast (Obvious Sin)

  • Food with yeast in it (Things you consume on a regular basis like patterns, habits, etc.)

  • Baking soda and powder (things you to prepare food (Thoughts, emotions)

  • Rest of the kitchen (Places you store your food. Your past, memories)

  • Rest of the house (Where you dwell or spend time in your house. Places you go, people you spend time with

Disclaimer: This isn’t about legalism or perfection or copying what other people do.

  • This is a preparation time, and a time of remembrance.

  • It’s about asking YHWH what areas of your life you need to address and clean out.

  • Pray about each item or place that you look for leaven in.

  • Leave no area of your life unturned.
